Imagine you are holding a bow and arrow and are focusing in on a target. What part of that target are you focusing on? I bet it’s the bullseye. It’s what everyone wants to hit. If you don’t aim properly you will not only miss the bullseye but you might even miss the whole target.

We believe God has provided a bullseye for us as well. He wants us to be like Christ. That’s what we’re aiming for. God has provided some ways to help us focus on this bullseye. Each of these feed into each other and focus our aim more tightly on Him.

  1. Biblical Scholarship
  2. Christian Community
  3. Authentic Discipleship

Biblical Scholarship
Too often God’s people have been convinced that His Word is hard to understand. To know God’s Word you don’t have to have a seminary degree. Our desire is to see every believer have a solid understanding of Scripture. We believe strongly that there is a great need for people who lead in the church to dedicate their lives to knowing and teaching the Bible. We believe even more strongly that it is up to each believer to know for themselves what God has written.

Christian Community
Church on Sunday is all the community that most believers experience. By nature it isn’t a time to know someone else or be known by others. Many of us have spent years hiding and it can be scary to let others into your life. The Christian walk was never meant to be walked alone.

Authentic Discipleship

Romans 12 defines the authentic disciple.  One who is surrendered to God, seperate from the world, realistic in their self assessment, serving the Body, and one who interacts with the world from their  super-natural filling of the Holy Spirit.
